It was only at the tail end of the first 120 stars that I saw the game over screen more than a few times because lives don’t carry over from play session to play session, so if you turn off the game you start back with 5 lives. Because lives are so plentiful I never Game Over-ed for the first 100 or so stars. Most of my deaths were simply error on my behalf and sometime continuous error for 10 or 20 lives. The challenge was almost always there for me but it was never so overwhelming that I ever felt like I couldn’t get a single star.
It’s not really a surprise, but Galaxy 2 is a great game so far, one of the best on the Wii. Tonight I beat Super Mario Galaxy 2 with 120 stars and then only started towards the 240 mark before ending my gaming tonight.
